Book making

Heather Scott of http://www.oz-somestamps.com/ Showed this on her blog some time ago.  I must say I was afraid of it.  :)  I thought man it would really stink if I ruined a 6.00 journal!  So I was at office depot the other day and they had these lime green leather journals for a buck.  Hey you can mess up a dollar and not cry too badly over it.

So anyway here is what I did:

another swap card

Can you believe it is already fall?  Oh I am so ready to not be cold, but at least cooler than what it was this summer.

Stamps:Give Thanks, Love and Laughter
Ink: Noir, Autumn Leaves Kaliedacolor
Embellishments: Transcendance, Saltillio Cardstock, and Brown Cardstock

The background was achieved by using the Autumn Leaves Kaliedacolor and then brayering it on the paper.  Once this was done I took a bit of black in the green to add interest.  If you have any questions please let me know.

its my birthday!

My husband is working nights to day so I won't get to see him.  Last night I was creating some cards for a swap and it had a masculine theme to it.  Well I got to thinking that I never create or give anything to my husband so I made him a card using the idea from the swap.

Stamps:Tiger Face, Love and Laughter
Ink: Burnt, Cognac,  UmberNoir
Embellishments:Trascendance Powder, Tissue Paper, Black Cardstock, Copper Cardstock
Earth Markers

To create the tiger face, I stamped the tissue paper with noir and then colored the tissue with the markers.  Be gentle when you are doing this as the tissue will become wet and WILL tear.    Once the tissue paper drys, adhere the tissue to cardstock by using duo adhesive.  This will dry clear and shouldn't reflect through the tissue paper.

If you want further information on this technique, shoot me and email and i will send further pictures of this technique.

12 X 12 version of the 6 X 6 Page

In my class the other night, the people at the class scrapbook mostly 12 X 12, they asked how they could use this 6 X 6 page in their album.  So while we scrapbooked the night away i created another 6 X 6 and created this 12 X 12 page in a 4 square album page.

Hope you like it:

6 X 6 Scrapbook Page

This weekend I am going to a scrapbook party.  Here is the scrapbook page I am going to teach. I love the jewel tones in this page.

Stamps: Love and Laughter
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Penelope, Penelope Cardstock
Other: Purple Flower, Orange Fiber Floss

To make this layout, I used misc shapes and sizes of the paper.  I then used the orange stock that came in the cardstock pack and created the photo box.  The flower was from my stash.  To create the image on the side I used versamark to create the tree and the sentiment of I will love you Forever.

A Halloween Experience

Well as you can tell I have been creating today.  I was inspired by Heathers Card that she posted some time ago using Michelle Zindorf's technique of moonlighting.  I felt I just had to try.

Halloween_3

Stamps: Love and Laughter, Halloween GWP (Fall 2008)
Paper:Purple DCWV cardstock, Yellow Bazzill, Kromekot Paper
Ink: Paris Lights, Violette, Stary Night, Viridian Leaf, Landscape, Charcoal, Noir
Embossing: Transcendance Embossing Powder

I just love this technique.  If you don't like it keep trying and working with your image.  The hill for the tree was achieved by tearing a bit of paper and then using charcoal to make it look like it has a bit of depth.  Overall I love the image.  If you want a step by step send me an email and I will try to document how I achieved this specific look

To see a better tutorial than I could do look here: http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/09/09/is-it-autumn-yet-tutorial-116/

Here is Heather's Card that was the source of my inspiration:
