Wonderful Day Stamp set focus

I love this stamp set.  So whimsical but you can dress it up to something really rich, or dress it down to something very simple.

This card was made by creating a card sleeve.  The paper starts with a 4 X 11 sheet of cardstock (Limeade in this case).  It is then scored at the 2 " and then turned and scored at the 4" mark on the wide side.  Then scored again at 2" on the long size.  This allows for a pocket to be made for the sentiment piece of the card.

The image was colored with Lyra Colored pencils and then using gamsol I smothed the lines and did my blending.  Once that dried out a bit I added journey glaze to the images.  I cut a small piece of watermelon card stock and Added the gingham Ribbon to the sleeve.

Class offerings

Did you know I am now offering classes in Springdale again?  I am hosting a monthly card class on the 2nd saturday of the month AND I am also offering Copic classes !  Fun Fun.

 

Each class will focus on some form of technique and having fun!  Classes are 10.00 each and I provide everything you will need.  If you have favorite scissors or glue bring them.

New Company, New techniques and Product

I recently changed companies to Fun Stampers Journey.  This is a relatively young stamp company.  The products are outstanding.  Believe me you will love them!

Tonight I want to show a card and explain a bit about what I did with it.

This card is a small card in that it is sized 3 X 4.  The card is layered with Black Licorice card stock as well as Limeade splash.  I also used a really cool product called Bubblegum silk to achieve the speckled background.  The sentiment was stamped in watermelon Fusion ink.

 

The Rose was colored with reinkers from the company.  And then I cut multiple layers and layered them on the rose.  This allows the image to be raised and provide dimension.  Due to the addition of the journey glaze, I also added a bit of glitter.

 

To complete the image, I tied Black twine around the limeade splash to give dimension.

Christmas in July

Oh my goodness!  I saw the pre order today for the new holiday catalog A Muse will be releasing in August.  I must say I have a lot of wishes!  The preview was 6 pages in length and included examples of Christmas (some beautiful SIMPLE stamp options), Halloween and a few simple party items as well.  I also found out that we are getting some NEON as well as Gold and Silver inks.....

 

So great things are a coming in the very near future.  SCRAPBOOKING items will also be available with the new catalog.

I know it has been a while since I have posted anything.  I have been in college for a couple years now and am finally graduated to where I can spend more time with my crafting love.  So here is the first of many postings you will see from me.

Simple Christmas Ornament Project

 

This Christmas I want to be able to give some handmade presents to my family and close friends.  While doing this I was looking for something simple but elegant all at the same time.  I think I found it with this ornament.  The plate is a piece or porcelain that is glazed.  I stamped my Naughty or nice (A Muse Studio) on the plate with Jet Black stazon and left it overnight.  I then colored the jacket with copic markers taking care not to leave streaks (that was the hard part).  and then colored the belt buckle with a yellow copic marker.  I then left it again for a few hours and came back and put white flock in the sleeves, collar and bottom of the coat.

Happy Halloween Treat idea

 
Amuse Studios has "amused" me for the last few days.  Today was the release of our new stamp special and paper specials.  It has a halloween theme. One of the ideas was these medalions.  I didn't have the silohette stamp, but thought I would try my hand in a different way:
